Positive Peer Relations (PPR)
An Anti-Bullying Program

How it all began...

Planning began in 2003 when a group of BMS staff gathered to discuss the increase in bullying and violence in school environments. The goal was to develop proactive strategies that could be used at BMS to address this issue. This led to the creation of The Positive Peer Relations (PPR) committee, which includes representation from administration, teachers, support staff, and the Bemidji Police Department. To address the issues of bullying, the committee developed a specific plan for Bemidji Middle School based on the Dan Olweus anti-bullying model.
